500 _aDescribes the early history of the organization which was established at Oxford in 1946 at the first conference organized by members of the American National Conference of Christians and Jews and the British Council of Christians and Jews. Appendix III (p. 87-96) gives the guidelines developed at Heppenheim on the portrayal of Jews and Judaism in educational and teaching materials. Appendix IV (p. 97-109) provides guidelines developed by the ICCJ on the place of Jewish history in the teaching of general history.
